Blow-down at Camp

A really big wind took some trees down along the shore of Ambajejus Lake.  Here are a dozen shots from June 20 at camp.  Not sure when this happened.  We think it was roughly a week earlier.  There was a big blow June 19 as well, but we think the earlier one was the culprit.

The buildings themselves were spared.  A couple of branches from the fallen Norway pine came down onto the deck railing and one branch cracked the lowest pane in the left front window in three places (left from the inside).

Frogtown has been bridged.  I’ve been saying that’s a good place to dump debris from a cleanup such as this will be.

It looks as though cleanup will begin June 27.  The big pine through the deck may be eliminated as well…
